When Henry planted citrus and they needed to pack the first crop, they packed at other Packhouses in our area. 

As the production grew in the Ohrigstad valley and on the farm, the decision was made to build our own Packhouse. 

In June of 2018, the first work started on preparing the ground for the Packhouse.

Much work, lots of sleepless nights and worry later the Packhouse was finished just in time for us to start packing our own fruit in April 2019.

Burgpak is very much a family affair.

Henry assists the Packhouse Manager with technical help like climbing under machines and fixing equipment. 

Henry’s wife, Emmie is responsible for quality assurance and that cartons and pallets are as close to perfect as they can be.
